Makesha is a great friend of mine and an amazing salsa dancer. We met about 6 years ago on the dance floor and had an immediate connection. She is easy going, full of positive energy and super fun to be around with. This was our first time actually working together and she was looking for a desert-ish background that reflects the beautiful Sonoran region. We decided to host our Portrait Photography at the Papago Park and Trail in Phoenix, Arizona on a Sunday late afternoon, right before sunset.
Her photos came out beautiful and I look forward to working with her again.
About the location: Papago Park is a municipal park of the cities of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona, United States. It has been designated as a Phoenix Point of Pride. It includes Hunt's Tomb, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places Papago Park has been home to many different pieces of Phoenix history: it was a reservation for indigenous tribes, a fish hatchery during the Great Depression, a POW camp for Nazis (who later escaped!) during World War II, and a VA hospital. Nowadays, the park is home to a zoo, golf courses, a garden, various museums, baseball fields, lakes, and Sonoran Desert plants and animals.
